In case you haven’t found out on your own, a teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released. Plenty of people have already submitted their analyses of the trailer, so I won’t bother with whatever crap I may think it involves. I leave it for you to interpret the video as you wish.

Here is the link to the trailer online on the main site:

Here are some forums and videos of pretty detailed opinions for the trailer:

The first of many…..we hope

This would be our first ever, substance filler video post, a quick summation last few days, and what is to come. Took me hoooours to figure out the easy way to do this, and where and blah blah blah, if any of you have seen my facebook, you can see I am unhappy with flash videos. (Notice the time of this post)

Greetings - video post

New Fullmetal Alchemist released set, trailer here

Anime, DefyTheOdds, Trailers | Tuesday February 10 2009 3:07 pm | Comments (0)

Now it is pretty much common knowledge among the anime community that there will be a new FMA show, and that it was set for release sometime in April, well now it is confirmed for April 5th! so mark your calenders, I think I might have to watch the raw, just so I can say I beat you guys ^_^ Here is the new trailer, and then some information regarding the announcement.

In case the previously known “April 2009″ timeframe wasn’t precise enough, the TV debut of Fullmetal Alchemist 2 Fullmetal Alchemist (2009) is now decidely set in stone for April 5, 2009. The announcement is being made in this latest promotional trailer (via Sankaku), and by now FMA 2 looks more like a remake of the original manga, rather than a sequel. In fact, even the title seems to have remained simply Fullmetal Alchemist - with no extra numerals and such. Or Hagane no Renkinjutsushi, if you prefer.

In other FMA news surfacing from this past weekend’s New York Comic Con, FUNimation expressed their intention to eventually license the new anime series. But for now it’s just that, an intention. Meanwhile, FUNi restated their plans to release the Fullmetal Alchemist Premium Collection DVD in late summer 2009. This one was originally released in Japan back in 2006, but its contents will remain the same for the stateside release: a 10 minute long original movie called “Seven Homunculi vs. State Alchemists”, two 6-minute long original anime shorts, and various other videos and features.

Basquash Trailer

Anime, Trailers | Monday February 9 2009 9:30 pm | Comments (0)

Now I don’t really like basketball animes, or even mechas, but this actually looks pretty interesting. The quality of the art looks great, and the mechas seem to be some kind of CGI, but it seems to work well with the art. The character designs seem kind of kiddish, but flashy, and we all know thats what is important *rolls eyes lol*

Basquash! is a 2009 anime project from Shoji Kawamori (Macross, Escaflowne, Aquarion) and his animation studio Satelight. This sci-fi project combines robots with basketball, and it’s created in collaboration with France’s Thomas Romain (Oban Star-Racers) - who developed the conceptual designs for the mecha and the art direction.

New Aion MMO ‘Verteron’ Trailer

Adventure, DefyTheOdds, Games, MMO, RPG, Trailers | Monday February 9 2009 9:20 pm | Comments (0)

I have been waiting for this game for so long, and I am so glad that there is finally more information.

Aion is a visually beautiful MMORPG that divides players between those that are “The Chosen” and those that are “The Fallen”. The Tower of Eternity exists as a gateway into the Abyss, and acts as a portal between dimensions. When a great evil opens the gateways, it awakens the Dragons imprisoned within the Abyss, who seek revenge on both worlds. It is here that an epic conflict begins, as you take your first steps on a journey to bring salvation to the world. In this ethereal world, you will have the power to direct dynamic relationships between angels, demons and dragons to control the fate of the world. You will evolve Aion’s storylines through social, economic and cultural experiences that are both interactive and cinematic.

Cowboy Bebop Movie Official

bebop_ibop1920

Now however happy this may make me, Keanu Reeves as the amazing Spike Spiegel is not pleasing whatsoever. But I will have to see the movie no matter what.

A live-action film adaptation of Cowboy Bebop has been known to be in the making ever since a deal between anime studio Sunrise and film producer Erwin Stoff (The Matrix, A Scanner Darkly) was revealed last summer. But it wasn’t until last month that Sunrise officially announced the Cowboy Bebop movie, confirming their collaboration with 20th Century Fox (and 3 Arts Entertainment), as well as Keanu Reeves’ presence among the cast - presumably as Spike Spiegel.

Back in December when Keanu Reeves expressed his burning desire to play the lead role, he also revealed that the live-action Cowboy Bebop movie will be based on the “Red Eye” storyline from the anime’s beginning. Other than that, not much else is known about the story. But there’s probably no need to worry, seeing how the production team includes plenty of names from Sunrise: president Kenji Uchida, director Shinichiro Watanabe (from the original Cowboy Bebop), script supervisor Keiko Nobumoto, and former Sunrise producer Masahiko Minami (who went on to co-found studio Bones).

Well, sounds good, I guess. But we won’t rule out the chance of shit hitting the fan just yet. It’s made in Hollywood, after all…

Fragile looks pretty strong[Trailer]

Adventure, DefyTheOdds, Games, Puzzle, RPG, Trailers, Wii | Friday February 6 2009 11:53 am | Comments (0)

This game looks really cool, from the trailer I have gathered it is in a post-apocalyptic error, and the wandering boy is in search of what has happened, there are elements of fighting, and ghosts, I wonder what they will do with it.

“Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon is a Nintendo Wii RPG that takes place in the near future, in a world that has lost its population. You play as Seto, a young boy who wanders around, searching through the abandoned cities and facilities of this world, trying to learn the truth behind the disappearance of all the people, and to find someone to keep him company. The game was released in Japan on January 22, 2009 and features the theme song “Hikari” sung by Aoi Teshima (Gedo Senki / Tales from Earthsea soundtrack).” - TVKon

Yet another new FFXIII trailer

DefyTheOdds, Games, RPG, Trailers | Friday February 6 2009 11:48 am | Comments (0)

Here is yet another new trailer for the long awaited game, that has yet to come up with a NA release month even.

The whole video is basically a clip from a cutscene (with english subs) and it jumps seamlessly into a battle scene, not sure if they edited something out, but it looks amazing. It seems like a big part of the story is going to be similar to FFVII, with a terrorist-like group going against the government, or typically with FF games, the religious doctrine. This trailer doesn’t show off anything all that special, one character that seems like he might be important, the one with the orange hair.
