Ever wonder What a $16,000 computer would look like?

Cobra Kai, Computers, Desktops | Monday March 2 2009 10:31 pm | Comments (0)

Puget Did. It is a 16 core system. That means 4 quad core cpu’s. Why, I have no idea. 32 gigs of ram. 2 veliciraptors in RAID 0 and 6 1 TB HDD in RAID 5. To top it all off a 360mm x 360mm watercooling radiator to keep it quiet. Why would someone need so much power. Video rendering? Madness?

thanks to the people at tomshardware for finding this system.

Razor DeathAdder

Accessories, Cobra Kai, Computers | Saturday February 28 2009 1:13 am | Comments (0)

I just recieved the DeathAdder in the mail today right before I got home from Lehigh. As you probably have seen I did the typical unboxing (sorry about the quality). The packaging was very nice. Razer did a good job showing that it is a quality product. The moment I plugged it into my laptop I saw it light up, it filled me up we joy. The Razor logo pulses with a mezmorizing effect. If you are not into the lights it is easy to turn off the lights in the nifty program it brings. The DeathAdder can save 5 modes which you can switch between. In each mode you can change what each button controls, lights, the DPI, and sensitivity. The mouse has a 3G 1800 DPI sensetivity. The rubber coating makes it feel great in your hand. They crafted the mouse to fit like a glove, it feels like an extention of your hand.   Here is the unboxing.

The DeathAdder is very responsive. It adds incredible percision to your aiming. Now don’t get me wrong if you suck at aiming before this is not going to magicly make you a sniper. But it will add more percision to skilled gamers. There is just the right amount of depth to the click as well. It gives just enough resistance. As they said it will improve your gaming by giving you more power over your cursor. Also this is a nice mouse for not only gaming but for the other things you on your computer. It is not to heavy if anything it is on the light side. All of these features come with a price premium. This mouse will run for about $50. I will have to say it was worth each cent.

The new Safari 4 looks amazing. They fused together Google Chrome and Firefox. They have brought the simplistic beauty of cover flow into the internet browser. Your history and bookmarks are put into coverflow.

They added a page called topsites. It is your 12 favorite sites and it is displayed similar to Chrome except it is parabolic. Safari will automaticly detect your favorite sites.

In case you don’t know Pystar is a company selling cheaper OSX running machines. Of course Apple is not happy about that and as you could guess took Pystar to court. This what Pystar wanted because they are fighting apple to make them release Mac OSX to custom system builders and other companies.

Pystar’s first claim in court was denied.  now they  put up a  second  argument  and they court approved it. they are going to try to call out Apple on stretching their copyrights. they say they can prove it in court.
